How Can I help? |
|
Please spay and neuter your pets. Of course, if you can afford to do so, please donate to us or to your favorite animal rescue. Even if it is only a few cents, every little bit helps and no donation is too small. As you can imagine, if everyone pitched in a few cents, it would tremendously help our animals.
Do you like to sew, bake, knit, do wood working, crochet, etc.? Most rescues also need help with their fundraising efforts and your skills could be very helpful to them. Contact us or your favorite animal rescue and see if your skills and talents can help them raise funds.
Consider volunteering at your favorite animal rescue. You will need to contact them to see what they need help with.
Consider volunteering to foster an animal while it is waiting for adoption or is waiting to give birth to puppies or kittens. You will need to contact your favorite animal rescue to determine if they need foster volunteers and to ensure you meet their criteria.
If you have old towels or blankets, please donate them to your favorite animal rescue or to Hearts United or The Cathouse. In fact, both Hearts United and The Cathouse have links on their websites detailing the various items that they need, from folders, dish detergent, paper towels, and more.
Please help your neighbors. Do you have an elderly neighbor who has trouble walking? Volunteer to walk their dog. Did your neighbors move? Be nosy and make sure they didn’t inadvertently leave pets behind.
Do you have gently used items you wish to donate? Please consider using Cause for Paws. All proceeds go to leading Nebraska animal charities. Cause for Paws is located at 56th and Old Cheney. Please refer to their website for hours and other information. |
There are many different ways people can help our animals. |
